Observations regarding CSDT softwares

1. Explanation of mathematical terms (e.g. origin, iteration, translation etc.)
-the students at the Alb BGC workshop didn't seem to understand the mathematical terms even though they might have learnt them in sch, or even after told by those conducting the workshop.
-Suggestion: Perhaps there could be a function (e.g. a question mark symbol) that allows students to check the definition of the terms whenever they need to.

2. Background cultural information
Most of the students in the Albany BGC workshop didn't seem interested to read the information in the software. They seem to just click continue until they come to a page that allows them to "do" something.
-Suggestions:
1.Perhaps there could be videos or narrators
2.a short quiz question at the end of each page that they have to answer before moving on, so students would at least search for the answer on that page.
3. For classroom teaching: perhaps there should be emphasis that teachers should go through the information in brief before the students start reading to get them interested.

Other observation from Albany BGC
The students seem confused with how to use the softwares, but didn't seem to have the patience to read the step by step tutorials e.g. simply skip the pages with instructions.
